11 As you do all this, you know what time it is. The hour has already come for you to wake up from your sleep. Now our salvation is nearer than when we first had faith.12 The night is almost over, and the day is near. So let’s get rid of the actions that belong to the darkness and put on the weapons of light. 13 Let’s behave appropriately as people who live in the day, not in partying and getting drunk, not in sleeping around and obscene behavior, not in fighting and obsession. 14 Instead, dress yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ, and don’t plan to indulge your selfish desires. Do you live in a way that shows Christ to the world?
Sometimes we are so hectic and living in a fast paced chaotic way that we loss sight of things. Our lives should show Christ in everything we do.
St. Francis is attributed with saying, “Preach the gospel at all times, and when necessary use words.” Now he never actually said this, but that makes a lot of sense. We should live in such a way that our lives show people we are followers of Christ.
Does hope shine through your life, or is it fear?
Does love become apparent when you are near, or is is something else?
What do people see when they see you?
Show the world love, hope and mercy. That is what God wants you to be and do.
