Beloved, since God loved us so much, we also ought to love one another.No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God lives in us, and his love is perfected in us. (1 John 4:11-12, NRSV)
If we love one another God lives in us and His love is perfected in us.
We get the love of God dwelling in us when we share that love with others. Not when we hoard it all for ourselves. Not when we tell others all the things they are doing wrong and have to fix before God will love them or they will be worthy of God’s love because God didn’t do that to you.
You see God loved you when you were separated from Him and before you were worthy as if you are worthy of God’s love now. None of us will ever be worthy of God’s love, but He loves us anyway. And we ought to love others as He loves us so that His love will be perfected.
Love as God loved and loves you.
