Now is the time we say we are going to spend less time watching TV, and being on our phones. We are going to join the gym and go every day. We are going to eat healthier and do what is better for our bodies. We are going to get in shape. Well not to bust your bubble but round is a shape…
This year I have something for all of us to try. Get a jar, maybe a mason jar, like the one pictured, or another jar. Make sure there is a place for this jar where you and your family walk by it every day. Now also make sure there are paper and a writing implement nearby. This jar is your 2016 Memories Jar. Whenever there is something someone wants to remember they write it on a piece of paper and put it in the jar. Then you and your family will open the jar on 12/31/16 and relive the memories of your year. You will see what you have to be thankful for over the past year, and have so many things to look forward to in 2017.
But also remember that these memories include God, because we are thinking of becoming something new, and God already did that for us. He made each of us new at our baptisms, and He is walking with us. So by reading over the memories of the past year, you can also see how God has walked with you.
