See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and that is what we are. The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Beloved, we are God’s children now; what we will be has not yet been revealed. What we do know is this: when he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him as he is. I don’t know about you, I worked hard as a young person to not be called a child. And now that I am an adult (by age alone!) I try to act like a child.
But really what is the most precious name in the world?
I would say it is child of God! And see what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God! You are God’s child!
And what you will be has not yet been revealed and does not matter, because God loves you and has claimed you and that my friend is the most precious name in the world!
So bear it proudly to the world!
