Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, just as he chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless before him in love. He destined us for adoption as his children through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace that he freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace that he lavished on us. (Ephesians 1:3-8, NRSV)
How many of us have ever felt like we don’t belong?
We have been picked last, or made to feel like an outsider…
Most of us if we are honest with ourselves have been there.
We have been left out and not a part of the in crowd…
But here God has destined us for adoption!
God wants you. When no one else does God still wants you to be His child.
Not because of who you are or aren’t or because of anything you have done, didn’t do, or will do, but simply because it his His good pleasure!
He loves you and wants to bless you.
And because of that we have redemption through Jesus Christ and get to be children of God!
