As for those who in the present age are rich, command them not to be haughty, or to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but rather on God who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, generous, and ready to share, thus storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of the life that really is life. (1 Timothy 6:17-19, NRSV)
Being rich is not a bad thing.
Money is not the enemy.
The Bible does not say Money is the root of all evil, but the LOVE of money is the root of all evil. It is what we love.
If we have a lot of wealth in this world, do we love it and thinkit will be our saving?
If so we have set our hopes on something that will not produce for us!
But if we use what we have for the betterment of all society, then we will see what God has done and is doing for us.
We are to do good works and be rich in doing them, because our faith leads us to this!
